Gi bud på PM!Because of the separate floats of the TMX series (same as found in the VHS carburettor series of Dell'Orto), the TMX is suitable for the cramped space conditions (e g in the PX ) very well.
Another positive of the TMX model is, that they are quite simple to adjust: The Mikuni reacts only on the jet, which was actually changed. Due to the good mixture preparation, not only is fuel consumption lower than Dell'orto's, but also very large carburetors can be used. Tests confirm, that even sizes of 35mm on a 221cc Malossi work quite well. The interesting fact is, that even with this carb the engine still has better perfomance at lower speeds, than a smaller DellOrto carb.
The TMX carburetor fits up to a 30mm rubber mount manifold (same as used for the PHB carburetors). The TMX carburetors from 32 to 35mm fit on manifolds with a width of 40mm (exactly like the VHSA carburetor of DellOrto).
